BankMobile’s Success Lands Luvleen Sidhu Lehigh Valley Business Women of Influence’s Woman to Watch

BankMobile has risen meteorically across the States. Being America’s first no-fee mobile, tablet and online bank, its student-friendly and millennial-targeted strategy has been well received as it reached 100,000 customers in less than a year and will be touching the 2 million mark come July.

Behind this superb success is one woman, Luvleen Sidhu, co-founder and Chief Strategy and Marketing Officer of BankMobile. A millennial herself, Sidhu used her leadership skills to successfully take BankMobile to such great heights.

It isn’t surprising that she has been chosen as Lehigh Valley Business Women of Influence’s ‘Woman to Watch’. Lehigh Valley Business is the most read local business journal and is the most reliable source for all business related news for Leigh Valley’s entrepreneurs, corporate boards, middle managers and CEOs. This award is given out each year to the women business leaders who lead their teams to greater heights. Cedar Crest College will host the honourees this year for a luncheon and ceremony.

"Luvleen's dedication to helping millennials and the under-banked live financially stable lives is unwavering. She has had monumental accomplishments since she co-founded BankMobile last year including reaching over 100,000 customers and launching the BankMobilist College Brand Ambassador Program," said Jay Sidhu, Chief Executive Officer of BankMobile and Customers Bank recognising Luvleen’s fabulous accomplishments. "We congratulate her on this recognition as she continues her mission of financial empowerment."

The BankMobile app offers features such as personal banker, financial tips and podcasts, going all in when it comes to pampering the customers. It has not restricted its growth to just banking by launching BankMobile Technologies, announcing BankMobilist College Brand Ambassador Program, handing out Financial Literacy Scholarship and being one of the first banks on Apple Watch.

Other winners of the award have been were: Sandra Figueroa of Lincoln Leadership Academy Charter School; Martha Cichelli of Software Consulting Services, LLC; Sheila Evans and Allentown Symphony Association; and Debbie Salas-Lopez and Lehigh Valley Health Network.

Luvleen Sidhu was also recently selected as one of New York Business Journal's Women of Influence Award honourees.

Customers Bank is a subsidiary of Customers Bancorp, Inc., a bank holding company in Wyomissing, Pennsylvania and has an illustrious board of directors that includes the founder of London-based C&C Alpha Group, Bhanu Choudhrie.
